How are jelly beans made?

WALT:write a explanation on how jelly beans are made.

How are jelly beans made?

Have you ever wondered how the sweet,squashy colourful,shiny jelly beans are made?Well today is your lucky day because I have just the right steps for you my friend and there really simple.

Ingredients;
A jelly bean takes between 6 and 10 days to be made.
First, the sugar is burned. to 175 degrees celsius in a kettle.Then: glucose and starch are also added in.

Moulding
Then in another place of the factory,starch is tipped onto a tray.A leveller equals out the starch on a tray to make it finn.A mould presses down into the starch to make the circle shapes for the jelly beans.Every tray makes around 175 jelly bean moulds.

Drying;
After that the sugar and starch combine is poured into the moulds.These trays can make one million jelly beans per hour!The conveyor belt carry’s them to the drying room.The jelly beans stay in the drying room for 24 hours.In the drying room they solidfy and they become squashier.

Flipping;
Finally long arms turn over the trays of dried starch and sugar centers into a massive drum which splits them.When the trays flip over,they fill up with starch to make moulds and the process begins again.

Now that you know how the juicy,texture,squashy,colourful jelly beans are made next time you could try making jelly beans or you could try teaching your family how to cook it.Thankyou for reading my work.
